The Virginia Marine Resources Commission approved today the emergency amendments described in sections of Chapter 4 VAC 20-252-10 et seq.
The Chesapeake Bay Fall Striped Bass season opens Oct. 4 at ends at midnight Dec. 31.
Instead of two fish, anglers can now only keep one. That one fish will have to fit into a 20- to 36-inch slot limit and establish commercial maximum mesh size requirements in the Chesapeake Bay and Coastal areas.
