The 2018 Pirates Cove Billfish Tournament bar was set high when Jarrett Bay Boatworks Hull #59 BUILDERS CHOICE hit the scales with a 911 lb Blue Marlin.
Harris Huddle of Morehead City reeled in the first Blue Marlin to be brought to the docks at Pirates Cove Marina in Manteo. This is the first Blue Marlin brought to the scales in the event in last three years.
98 billfish were caught on Tuesday, with 3 blue marlin, 91 white marlin and 4 sailfish. All fish but one were released. Sandra D had the most releases, with six white marlin.
