Team X-cessive Risk Takes Home $84,065 In Recent Cape Lookout Shootout WIN

Morehead City, NC –

The Cape Lookout Shootout Tournament Series held Leg 2 of their North Division which had been postponed due to weather on Sunday. At first light on Sunday 60 teams headed out of Beaufort Inlet and were faced with foggy conditions early on.

Team Captain Athan Parker, after navigating through dense fog, said “thanks to our Night Track, we made our way to our first spot 26 miles away. With very little action our team made the decision around 10:45 to pick up the spread and head to our next spot 11 miles away. Shortly after lunch while dropping back our bait our fish hit”.

First to the scales was the Yamaha powered Contender Team X-Cessive Risk to weigh in their 49.24 lb King. Team Captain Athan Parker said being the first to the scales made the wait seem like forever.

Team X-cessive Risk won the event and took home $84,065 with Team Release taking second with a 40.00 lbs and rounding out the top 3 is Team Triple Trouble with 37.12 lbs.
