Speckled trout fishing remains strong in the creeks off the Neuse River, even with the abundance of wind. Soft plastics, popping cork rigs and top water lures have all produced. There has been decent striper fishing but the weather has made keeping up with them a little bit more difficult. Top water action has been best on NE winds. A few redfish, bluefish and gray trout have been in the mix as well.
